Why is it important to learn about Kinetic energy?
Kinetic Energy is an amazing energy source that is still very new. It is a way to create energy through motion, sounds crazy right? I was shocked when I first learned about Kinetic energy, and ever since then I have been hooked to the idea. Not only is Kinetic energy an amazing source for energy but it is also renewable, which means its sustainable. Renewable energy is energy that is unlimited, it will never run out. Will people always be walking around, driving on streets and playing on playgrounds? The answer is yes which is why Kinetic energy is so amazing.
The reason I chose this topic is because Kinetic energy is something that isn't talked about every day. I wanted to do my own research and discover what Kinetic energy truly is. The reason students should learn about Kinetic energy is because one day it will be all around us. These students need to know what their world is capable of. By teaching them so young about something that is so important is bettering their lives and the future of others around us. If these students know that everything they do could potentially create energy, it just might make them want to spread the word, and spreading the word it just another way to say "Taking action". The subjects you could incorporate Kinetic energy into is science, you can have them monitor the amount of energy they create doing certain activities and record their results. You can teach it in math, by having them calculate the amount of energy they potentially use on a daly basis. Also you can teach Kinetic energy in language arts, by having them keep a journal of all the activities they do in their daily lives. Then have them write a paper on how to create the most energy possible.
